		<description>Untitled Abisko2020 &#124; 19 min &#124; hybrid, experimental

	A photographer and her lover travel to Abisko in the north of Sweden in the summer of 2020 to document the effects of the rising temperatures on the mountain landscape. Many years later, both the landscape and their love is long gone, and the world as they knew it lies under water after a natural disaster. From an underwater shelter where she lives with other survivors, the lover lives suspended in an image-world of memories from that summer. She remembers her photographer, and their own personal disaster that ended their love affair.

	Untitled Abisko is a climate-fiction that weaves together a queer love story with the processes of mourning a landscape altered by climate change. In the unique mountain landscape of Abisko, the consequences of global warming are more visible than in other places. While the planet’s average temperature has risen by one degree in the past century, Abisko has risen by two degrees. How do we comprehend these changes and the losses that come with them? The striking landscape and the dreamlike, poetic images shot on 16 mm film stand in stark contrast to the dystopian narrative in a cinematic message from one of our possible futures.

		<description>Repeated over time and with force

2019 &#124; light installation with readymades &#124; steel dish drying racks, lights

Installation with readymades (steel dish drying racks) and light. This work examines notions of care and the kinds of control and micro-violence that can be embedded within care taking - both in intimate relationships and family structures and on a collective level with regards to belonging to an other kinds of “homes” such as a society or nation state.&#38;nbsp;
This work looks at how reproductive labour and care, within these structures, can become contested actions that both nurture as well as discipline, and have the potential to uphold and reiterate patriarchal structures. At the same time, it seeks to create a space in which these gestures can become something else and gain their own independent autonomy and produce something other from within the same structures.

	The title, Repeated over time and with force, is a phrase taken from Sara Ahmed’s book Queer Phenomenology, and refers to a discussion on how hegemonic structures such as heteronormativity and patriarchy become norms - in the form of behaviours, beliefs and affects that are repeated over time and with force until they become part of the background noise of everyday life. The light is programmed to sweep over the installation, after which point it turns itself off and spins back to the starting point and begins again. A cycle, a repetition, that is predetermined and independent of the viewer, but is also in dialogue with the viewer’s movement in the room.
Shown as part of Royal Institute of Art MA graduation show. Awarded the Bonniers stipendium grant.

		<description>Traces
2018 &#124; installation &#124; plaster, text

	Traces is a fictional archive - a collection of intimate archival objects presented at Örebro Läns Musuem as artefacts from an imagined history.&#38;nbsp; How does an object make its way into an archive? What narratives are recorded, preserved and remembered? These works suggest an imagined archive that speaks to the blind spots in the archive-making processes of nation-building institutions such as the museum. They adress historical narratives that could have taken place - as well as an archival practice that may one day exist. The fictional archival objects speak of narratives that have often not been documented and become invisible in the creation of hegemonic historical narratives - LGBTQI history, histories of migration and displaced people. Engaging with history in a reparative way, these works use fiction to create collective histories that re-imagine and fill the gaps of dominant modes of history making.

	Installation with plaster sculptures and text. Part of the group exhibition Ingen Äger Tiden at Örebro Läns Musuem, in which a group of artists from the Royal Institute of Art were given access to the municipality archive in Örebro and invited to create works in dialogue with the archive, the local area and its history. Under artistic supervision of artist Lina Selander and in dialogue with curator Daniel Urey.

		<description>Shapeshifters
2017 &#124; 75 min &#124; hybrid feature documentary

	SynopsisWhen filmmaker Sophie Vuković has a chance encounter with an old friend at a demonstration, it provokes a wistful but self-assured exploration of her personal and global identity. Tracing her ancestry through her parents’ migration from former Yugoslavia to Northern Europe via Australia, we are brought into the home and world of a family both moving and tethered.

Through a diverse mix of film styles, blending documentary with the fiction of memories and dreams, the director combines the personal and the political through a gentle first-person narration. Relating the experience of globalised and marginalised identities the world over, Shapeshifters beautifully portrays the yearning for a fixed and stable identity, while wholeheartedly embracing the internationalist spirit that transcends the borders implicit in such an identity. Always on the cusp of two or more cultures, Vuković examines the lasting effects of one generation’s choice to migrate on the next.
